koncertas bažnyčiojeFestival “The Land of Disobedient” comes to Nida for the 15th time. This year festival will be presenting concert programs, holding creative ecological sessions and other events between July 6th and July 12th. As every summer, Disobedient team knits together intriguing musical narratives with cultural insights and ecological subtext, promoting ideas of harmonious coexistence in various contexts and different spiritual levels.

Musical landscape of the Festival this year historically spans over four hundred years of music history, blending quite different stylistic worlds such as folk song and techno music, baroque and jazz. Seven very different musical stories will be related. Each of them ponders on modern identity, as if rising the existential question “who am I?” and looking at it from various aspects, thus challenging the listener to reflect on his or her personal level and place in a contemporary fleeting world, full of uncertainties, fizzy responsibilities and constantly changing values.

For a week the participants will be guided by three captivating forest stories exploring three levels of the natural realm. We will talk about the birds nesting in treetops and will practice how to wattle and sheaf straw and grass to build nest. Moreover, threading ant-paths we will discover tree barks, leafs, blossoms and even tree needles, everything that the forest residents – trees – offer. And in order to obtain longer lasting impression of our journey we will create collages. During the third stage of the workshop we will discover colours of the forest and relate our own forest stories in watercolour, pastel and coal.
