Roger Arve Vigulf (Norway). International clarinet soloist. Vigulf has been soloist with Vilnius State String Quartet, Sarajevo String Quartet, Cicada String Quartet,Ametri String Quartet,Hansa String Quartet, pianist Geir Henning Braaten, pianist Einar Henning Smebye, pianist Einar Steen-Noekleberg, California State University of Los Angeles Jazz Orchestra and many other famous musicians and ensembles. Vigulf has played principal clarinet for the Norwegian Radio Orchestra(1996-2001) and has participated in recordings for the Norwegian Radio Corp many times. In 2000, Mr.Vigulf released his CD “Profiles” with 4 world premières; James Macmillan, Edvard Hagerup Bull, Lasse Eerola and Bjørn Howard Kruse. Vigulf is a member of the Disobedient Ensemble(LT), Vestfold Sinfonietta(NOR) and collaborate with violinist Ole Bøhn and pianst Geir Henning Braaten.
He has playd with the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, collaborated with pianists Prof. Einar Henning Smebye and Geir Henning Braaten, the Cicada String Quartet and the Vilnius String Quartet.
Vigulf has been a guest professor at the Klaipėda Music University and has been engaged as soloist by the Lithuanian National Philharnonic Society since March 2001. Coming engagements included soloist with the chamber orchestra Musica Humana(LT), tour to Lithuania with the Disobedient Ensemble, tour with pianist Ole Bolaas and Terra Di Siena, soloist with Vestfold Sinfonietta and engagement with Vladimir Ashkenazy. Première of clarinet concertos by Balakauskas and Malcys.
Since Autumn 1998, he has focused on his solo career. As a soloist he has toured internationally, including Lithuanian, Croatia, the USA, and Great Britain.
